ShinhanCard operates various programs to support management systematically and encourages its employees to put ethical management actively into practice.

1. Integrity Contract System

Company requires its employees to make written pledge not to demand, receive or be given the promise of bribes, entertainment, hospitality, convenience, etc., from subcontractors in the course of performance of contract pertaining to purchase of goods, bidding, etc., and to avoid execution of any contract disadvantageous to any party to concerned contract. The written pledges are exchanged mutually and disciplinary actions are imposed on employees who breached the pledge pursuant to by-laws, while subcontractors that breached the pledge are subject to the actions such as restriction on bidding, cancellation of contract, etc. .

2. Ethical Action Pledge System

The Ethical Norm Compliance Pledge is made regularly each year, which forms consensus on ethical management and reflects the intention to put the ethical management into practice.

3. Legal Compliance Self-diagnosis Program

Legal Compliance Self-diagnosis Program is implemented, targeting all employees, to ensure that they are clearly familiarized with legal compliance recommendations related to works, and based on that, observe the laws in their daily lives.

4. Establishment of Regulations Prohibiting Unjust Solicitation and Graft, etc.

Regulations related to prohibition of unjust solicitation and graft, etc., are established to ensure prevention of abuse of the positions and authority by employees and to promote fairness in the performance of works, along with online regular education of employees.

5. Whistleblower System

Whistle-blowing system is being operated to strengthen compliance of employees with ethical standards and prevent incidents involving money. Furthermore, personal protection and preferential treatment of whistleblowers have been written into internal regulation to ensure thorough protection of the rights and benefits of whistleblowers.

6. Leniency (mitigation for voluntary report) System for Subcontractors

Leniency system (mitigation for voluntary report) has been implemented for employees and subcontractors to ensure that employees observe ethical norms in good faith in the course of their performance of works and to prevent employees from being involved in any unfair behavior (receipt of money and valuables) against subcontractors by taking advantage of the superior position of the Company.
