Shinhan Finance LLP was established in November 2014 as a 100% subsidiary of Shinhan Card.

After obtaining a business license, the company began operations in July 2015, focusing on installment financing and personal loans. In 2021, it experienced significant growth through a strategic partnership with Aster, a prominent local dealer. Building on the success of this partnership, Aster invested in Shinhan Finance in March 2024, transforming the company into a joint venture (Shinhan Card: 75% share, Aster: 25% share).

Since becoming a joint venture, Shinhan Finance has diversified its partnerships with other major local dealers while continuing to grow.

Moving forward, the company aims to leverage synergies with Aster to achieve stable growth.
